At the 8th and 9th of June 2015, the 20th German Congress on Crime Prevention takes place in Frankfurt. On this occasion, sine will present latest results of the EU project “Graffolution”.
Within a short presentation on the topic “Graffiti Prevention: Limits and potentials of networking” it will be pointed out how actors affected by graffiti vandalism communicate their interests and get in contact with each other. Core themes are especially the limits and potentials of the varying networking structures, as well as the different perspectives regarding possible improvements of the mutual exchange.
In association with that, sine also presents a poster on the topic “Graffiti Prevention: Discussion of innovative solutions”. Here, new approaches which have been identified during the project regarding the understanding and prevention of graffiti in the public sphere will be presented. Thereby, it´s decisive to have a differentiated perspective which includes all relevant actors (also the graffiti writers), so an approach can be developed which turns away from a penal to a pro-active dealing with the phenomenon.
