From the 16.6. – 18.06.2016, the common conference of the section cultural sociology / work group sociology of the arts of the German Association of Aesthetics and the interdisciplinary centre for aesthetic education, takes place at the Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nurnberg. Topic is “Aesthetic resistance against destruction and self-destruction”. Within this context, Sebastian Kleele speaks about the question, in which way Graffiti as some sort of aesthetic and creative expression changes the – also aesthetic – design of the public sphere and therefore can be seen as an expression of resistance against the dominance of architects and city planners.
