At the International Days of Veterinary Medicine, held 5-7 September at the Ohrid Lake in R. Macedonia the sine Institute presented for the first time study results of the EU funded EDENext project, on the risk management of CCHF in Macedonia and Turkey. CCHF, a disease transmitted by ticks, is a notifiable disease in both countries. So far no comparable data were existing for R. Macedonia; the situation is different in Turkey as this disease is endemic in several rural areas. We are also planning to publish results of a CCHF risk perception study for the same countries soon.
